The anti-graft agency made the statement on Friday via its official Facebook account, writing that “EFCC will get you anywhere, anytime. Shun Financial Crimes in all [its] forms…”

A part of the agency’s message, which was worded in Nigerian Pidgin English, fingered cyber-scammers and unscrupulous politicians as causing the country reputational damage abroad. “This na for the shady leaders wey dey carry our money go Overseas. This na for the Yahoo Yahoo boys wey dey spoil our Country name Overseas. For the lifestyle wey you dey love, make you know say there is an eye watching you.”
