The All Progressive Congress Zamfara State on Saturday held awards Congress in 147 wards across the state.At Galadima and Kayyaye/Matusgi wards under Talata Mafara local government, where the former governor, Abdulaziz Yari hails from, the congress was conducted smoothly without rancour.
After much horse-trading, congress was able to produce executive members to pilot the affairs of the party in the two through consensus. Dahiru admonished the newly elected party leaders to be transparent and carry party members in running the affairs of the party. The monitoring team sent to the state by the APC national headquarters led by Ibrahim Masari, urged the delegates to conduct themselves peacefully, stressing that where the people fail to agree on consensus there will be an election.A statement by its caretaker publicity secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Birnin Magaji urged members to boycott the congress due to the court order stopping the Congress.
