Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission , Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, yesterday expressed satisfaction on the conduct of electoral officers during the 2019 polls. Speaking at the opening of the post-election review meeting with the EOs in Abuja, he lauded them for a satisfactory job. He recalled that despite the odds in the build-up to the general elections, the commission, due to the commitment shown by the EOs, was able to register over 14 million new voters within 18 months.

Yakubu observed that all important election activities, including smooth movement of staff, opening of polling units, coordination of polling units and logistics, depend largely on the electoral officers.
