Nigeria is currently reaching out to all members of the World Trade Organisation in its bid to ensure Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala becomes the next Director-General of the global trade body.
Katagum noted that this was to persuade the countries, especially the U.S. to join the consensus in adopting the recommendation of the appointment of Dr Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, as WTO DG. A file photo of the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Ambassador Mariam Katagum, Photo: Twitter- @TradeInvestNGKatagum, who chairs the Campaign Strategy Team for Nigeria’s DG-WTO candidate, hinted that the team held an emergency virtual meeting on Friday.
She added that the Chair of the WTO General Council, Ambassador David Walker of New Zealand, with the facilitators of the selection process, as well as the Chair of the Dispute Settlement Body and the Chair of the Trade Policy Review Body , informed the WTO members that Dr Okonjo-Iweala secured overwhelming support of members, both in terms of numbers and geographical spread.
You can pass the IELTS exam in flying colours and get a permanent residency to Canada, when you get the high score formula for passing the IELTS exam
I pray she gets the WTO job, despite the U.S block.

It is only in my country our citizens belief the country has no international pedigree. These citizens do not believe the country has any worth. To them the country represent everything that is worst on the earth. They claimed the govt has neva benefited them.
Nigeria should have stayed away, they will complicate her chances with all the mess going on in the country. Poor economic policies, inability to attract foreign investment and a whole lot more. Incompetence at it's peak 😏😏
Dumb move, they’ll pick South Korea over you any day. More to gain.
Mrs Okonjo-Iweala is exceedingly qualified for WTO position. However she brought a rotten fruit called Nigeria along. Nigeria is tarnished & inferior brand on the international platform. Highly accomplished Nigerians are devalued on world stage by the corrupt Nigerian government
What is Nigeria taking to the table against South Korea? Economy Size ❌ GDP Growth Rate ❌ Per Capita Income ❌ Gross National Income ❌ Okonji's Experience ✅ Might be better to let Okonji speak for herself.
She Nigerian proud of you madam Ngozi Iwala
Please can the youths be the ones reaching out to them please, because we can't have the same people that gave them the reason to go against her trying to reaching out to them...
