Direct selling market place, QNET has called on the Nigerian government to leverage on the celebration of the World Press day to uphold and if possible structure a stronger legal framework to protect the right of journalists in the country.

QNET’s Regional General Manager, Sub Saharan Africa, Mr Biram Fall made the call while hosting journalists via a webinar organised by QNET to salute their courage in telling truth to power, irrespective of the obvious inherent dangers.

“The Nigerian Constitution, specifically Section 39, guarantees the right to freedom of expression, providing a solid foundation for a thriving press. Additionally, independent regulatory bodies like the National Press Council play a crucial role in safeguarding journalists’ rights and ensuring ethical conduct.

“The journey towards press freedom is a continuous one, and everybody must work together to uphold existing legal frameworks, strengthen the independence of regulatory bodies, and promote responsible journalism” .“Our direct selling model has provided financial independence to millions, empowering them to transform their lives while pursuing personal aspirations.
