The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, has donated N10 million to the College of Nursing Sciences at St Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital in Onitsha.

''The College of Nursing Sciences, St Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital is a college I was actively involved in its establishment from inception. ''I have always made a case for the training of more healthcare professionals both for our Nigerian health sector and for global export, especially now that there is an impending global shortage of nurses.

Obi thanked the proprietor of the College, His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke, and the entire management and staff of the college ''for their visible achievement so far, and their vision for further growth of the institution.''
