Boniface Emerengwa, a member of the House of Representatives from Rivers State, has publicly declared his support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, breaking away from his longstanding allegiance to former Governor Nyesom Wike.

In a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, the federal lawmaker criticized the struggle among politicians to assert leadership roles within the Peoples Democratic Party and the state, emphasizing that elected governors are constitutionally mandated to lead.
