The Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase has urged his colleagues to desist from opposing the planned ban of commercial motorcycles by the federal government.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, had revealed that the government is considering a ban of the popular means of transportation to curb insecurity. The Deputy Speaker called Mr Yalleman and had a private meeting with him. After the meeting, Wase said the lawmakers must back the government in ending insecurity.

“Most of us, 90 percent of my community if not 99 percent, this is the only means of transportation,” he said.

We MUST not support the FGN to throw more than 10 million people into the job market. The security implications will be dire. If directed to certain flash points, ok, but NOT in all areas, please!!

Are guns not ban? Why is the terrorist still holding and killing people with guns? Nonsense

Because Fulanis are perpetrating crimes with Okada they now want to ban it without considering several millions of southerners who are earning legitimate living from okada. The southern slaves among them are washing.

Hummm. Rep members had quickly forgotten that doling out Okada was part of their empowerment programmes in the past

So if u ban okada and they use pick ups. You will ban pick ups. If they use cars. You go ban cars. It is quite unfortunate. They are no intellectual in Buhari' s government. We only have people that have brain to siphon money.

Mr Rep! Imagine if it is your father getting flogged in that video. Will you be talking about okada ?😡

Na okada u dy house dy settle where there is fire on the mountain well chaa it never reach ur side, ur eye go soon clear

It's very ok to properly regulate d activities of d okada riders&maybe ban them from playing major roads. But d govt mustn't ban them in totality.Don't take people's source of survivals.Don't create unnecessary unemployment when u have no job replacement. Na beg we dey beg una🙏

Clueless People... How many stream of income have you provided for them. This same Deputy Speaker that don't know the effectiveness of Nigerians in Diaspora

Out of touch politicians everywhere, do you know how many militate sustaining their families with okada business?

You can't continue to collect salaries and allowance and stop others from their source of living.

FG said that there is no job in government then you are planning to ban Okada nationwide. FG knows where the bandits are and I believe they don't want to do anything about it. Create job opportunities if you want to ban Okada.

So that only Fulanis will continue to ride okada in Nigeria because they are law braker.

Na dem dey multivate those boys

Are you going to provide alternative jobs to them?

You guys are not serious. You just want to flood the streets with armed robbers if you don't know.
