The National leadership of the New Nigerian People's Party, NNPP, has revealed what informed its decision to change its logo. This comes amid the rejection of the change by the southwest zonal chapter of the party which it described as unacceptable to the members.

This comes amid the rejection of the change by the southwest zonal chapter of the party which it described as unacceptable to the members. Recall that the NNPP had at the weekend conducted its national convention and ratified the appointment of new national working committee, NWC, members and unveiled a new logo and slogan.

And to the extent that many of our members across the country were calling the national secretariat to complain that our logo was not on the ballot paper. 'Even myself, when I entered the polling booths, it took some time to identify what INEC gave to us in the ballot paper. It was later we discovered that it had many colours. It really affected the production of the papers. And that was why we said that there was a need for us to do something.
