Why ex-govs cannot control successors — Kashim Shettima Dailytrust Nigeria

Senator Kashim represents Borno Central in the Senate. He served as governor of Borno State between 2011 and 2019. He was guest speaker at the 17th Daily Trust Annual Dialogue after which he granted this exclusive interview. Shettima spoke on different issues, among them the theme of the dialogue, ‘20 years of democracy in Nigeria’, APC crisis, Boko Haram insurgency, his support for Prof Babagana Zulum as his successor, the concept of cabal, Chibok girls among others.

Why would they control their successor, or does the state belong to the predecessor? Once your own tenor expired you free the state to run the way it will suit them to develop. Gosh

See what this one is bothered about when his state is still and will continue to be a killing field for the next 20 years. Oh! Naijeriya In the end, wetin concern us... Make una continue.
