Why Buhari's Information Minister Is Official Spokesman For Northern Terrorists —Activist, Adeyanju | Sahara Reporters

A Nigerian rights activist and convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju has slammed the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed over his comments in justification of the activities of Boko Haram insurgents and bandits. Mohammed had earlier likened the exorbitant amounts demanded by terrorists from residents in the North to the extortions by louts, popularly referred to as"Area boys" in Southern Nigeria.

“In many of our cities, they carve out their own territory. So, it is not indicative of the bandits have taken over.“No. I know many areas in Nigeria both in the South and the North where these kinds of things happen. So, it is not the same thing,” he had said.However, Adeyanju said such comparison by the minister presented him as a sympathiser of terrorists.
