Governor Babagana Zulum has said that Borno State Government is yet to celebrate return or rescue of the 187 out of the total 276 abducted Chibok schoolgirls, because, quite a number of them amounting to about 89 are still in captivity.

The governor was represented during a joint press briefing on Saturday at the NUJ Centre, Maiduguri by Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar and his counterpart from the ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development , Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo marking 10- year anniversary since the abduction saga.

The text read by Professor Tar partly reads “The Borno State Government is committed to rescuing and reuniting the remaining Chibok girls and reuniting them with their families. We understand the pain and anguish that the families of those still in captivity are going through, this is our sorrow!
