The Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, says contrary to Federal Government’s stance on the establishment of Amotekun security outfit by Southwest governors, the region won’t back down on the initiative.
He was reacting to a comment credited to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami that Amotekun was illegal.saying “The setting up of the paramilitary organization called ‘Amotekun’ is illegal and runs contrary to the provisions of the Nigerian law.” However, Odumakin in a statement said: “It’s unfortunate because after we saw a statement credited to Malami that he was misquoted, we thought that they are serious about resolving this matter. If they still insist that Amotekun is illegal, then it is clear that they are not interested in a negotiated settlement on this matter and they believe they can keep us as our masters.

People like him are imposing themselves on us Yoruba as a leader. Pls ask him who and when was he elected by the generality of Yoruba as a leader speaking on their behalf? He has arrogated so much importance and power to himself in the name of one Afenifere.
Mr. Odumakin is a bread and butter activist that should not be taken serious for anything. He is an enemy of this country under the disguise of Afenifere.
