The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of seven suspects over the killing of Pastor Shuaibu Yohanna, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the Sumaila Local Government Area of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the arrests in an interview with our correspondent on Tuesday. “Seven suspects linked to the murder of Pastor Shuaibu Yohanna, including the person that killed his brother’s wife and reported himself to the police, are currently with us,” he said.
Haruna noted that the case had been transferred to the homicide department at the command headquarters in Bompai, Kano, for discrete investigation. The police spokesman said as soon as the investigation was concluded, the suspects would be charged to court.
