The United Nations has called for equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine to help end the acute phase of the pandemic.
The UN chief said COVID-19 does not respect national boundaries and countries need some COVID-19 doses now to vaccinate all healthcare and frontline workers, instead of some countries getting them. He added that the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator is the only global solution to tackle this pandemic.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation says it aims to start deliveries of COVID-19 vaccines in February.
