In addition to the 1130 looted artefacts expected from Germany, the Federal Government says it will soon take possession of other stolen antiquities from the United States of America and Scotland in October.
He said the federal government was making progress in its efforts to repatriate looted smuggled artefacts from around the world. The minister recalled that in October 2020, the Netherlands returned a highly-valued 600-year-old Ife Terracotta while Mexico returned a bronze piece in April 2021.
Nigerians will be happy to receive those antiquities. But sir, when are we expecting the money you and other government officials looted?
Any artefacts recovered back to Africa must be taken back to the custodians of such, in no way is government involved in keeping it. You only provide safety for it. And with the kinds of governments in Africa. All these politics are unnecessary..

In my place, when a father retrieves items stolen from his son. He gives back the items to the son. The owner (Benins) of every stolen items takes it back, unless the North (fulanis) wants to hold on to them as souvenirs of conquest.
The US and UK should just hold on to it instead of giving the FG of Nigeria.
