So much storm was generated by the defection of Femi Fani-Kayode from the PDP to the APC, a defection which came to public focus on the day some Nigerian soldiers were killed in Monguno, Borno State after an ambush by militants from the Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province . Fani-Kayode is not my cup of tea!

War is, unfortunately, a fact of life. What matters is how we deal with it. In conflict zones all over the world, political leaders lean on the academia to help with scenario planning and objective analysis instead of simply throwing tons of borrowed money at the problem. We are not lacking in people with brain muscle in Nigeria. But who is listening?
