Director General, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Major General, Sule Zakari Kazaure on Monday
Speaking during the 2019 Batch ‘A’ orientation camp held at Sagamu, Ogun State, Kazaure who was represented by Ag Director, Corps Welfare, Mr Abdul Rasheed Sanusi said: ”We have a Memorandum of Understanding with the wages commission that each time salaries of the public servant are increased, that of the corps members too will take a very relative position.
However, the DG who maintained that the increment would be effected along side with other workers’, did not disclose when it would commence and which batch of corps members that will start receiving the minimum wage. He said: ”In times of food and facilities this camp is far above average. This is my first time of coming here since this camp was moved to the permanent camp. ”The last time I came here was in 1996, when the camp was at the old Teachers College somewhere in the centre of the town.”corps members said a total of 2,498 were admitted to the Shagamu camp.
