The Nigerian U-20 side, led by newly-appointed coach Ladan Bosso, will face West African rivals Ghana and Ivory Coast in Group B of the WAFU B qualification series for next year’s main tournament in Mauritania.
In the draws held on Tuesday, host nation, Togo, were drawn in Group A alongside Niger Republic, Benin and Burkina Faso. The competition commences on November 14 in Lome, the Togolese capital, with seven countries from the West African Zone B in attendance. The top two teams in each qualification zone will qualify for the main tournament, which has been expanded to 12 teams, in Mauritania next year.
In the U-17 category, the Eaglets will contend with Ghana and Ivory Coast in Group B. The tournament holds December 5 to 20.All rights reserved.
