The Head of the Nigeria National Office of WAEC, Mr Olu Adenipekun, in a statement said a total of 97,080 candidates registered for the examination in Nigeria, out of which 94,884 candidates sat the examination.
According to him, 49,679 candidates, representing 52.36 per cent, obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five subjects (with or without English Language and/or Mathematics. The Head of the Nigeria National Office of WAEC also disclosed that of the total number of candidates that sat the examination in Nigeria, 47,237 were male while 47,647 were female, representing 49.78 per cent and 50.22 per cent respectively.
