US Appeal Court Rejects Ex-President Trump’s 'Special Master' Request In Mar-a-Lago Estate Documents CaseThe appeals court said in its decision that there was no"judicial authorisation to meddle in an ongoing inquiry."

The"special master" is an impartial lawyer who determines whether any of the data is protected by attorney-client or executive privilege, BBC reports. "The law is clear. We cannot write a rule that allows any subject of a search warrant to block government investigations after the execution of the warrant. Nor can we write a rule that allows only former presidents to do so."

According to authorities, these documents should have been turned over to the National Archives, as is required of US presidents when they leave office.
