The Nation Newspaper UPDATED: Rivers Channels TV reporter kidnapped in Port Harcourt

Rogers was said to be returning from his official assignment in Government House after a trip to Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area for a government event when the incident happened.Though the police had yet to release an official statement on the incident, a source close to the victim said the matter had been reported to the police, the Department of State Security and the Navy.

A group of reporters under the auspices of the Andoni, Opobo/Nkoro Journalists Forum condemned the abduction of Rogers. The group said: “The Forum frowns at and views his abduction as not only barbaric but a threat to journalism practice in Nigeria
