President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed new service chiefs to replace the retiring ones, who had held the various military top offices since 2015.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari was said to have accepted the resignation of the former service chiefs and immediately named their replacements. “President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the immediate resignation of the Service Chiefs, and their retirement from service.
“President Buhari thanks the outgoing Service Chiefs for what he calls their ‘overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to our dear country’, wishing them well in their future endeavours.
