President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday during a nationwide broadcast ordered the restriction of movement in Lagos, Ogun and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, following the outbreak and continued spread of Coronavirus in the country. Buhari urged citizens in these areas to stay in their homes in order to reduce the risk of contracting the virus.

He said,"Based on the advice of the Federal Ministry of Health and NCDC, I am directing the cessation of all movements in Lagos and FCT for an initial period of 14 days with effect from 11pm on Monday, March 30, 2020. "This restriction will also apply to Ogun State due to its close proximity to Lagos and the high traffic between the two states."

MBuhari Baba no even ask, wetin we go chop

MBuhari Lock down the entire country. We can come out of the exponential phase together instead of allowing spread in some states

MBuhari So why is his chief of staff going to Lagos when there is a lock down he wants to spread the virus more or what, stay where you are oga don't come to Lagos and complicate things here please

MBuhari What about the weekly wages of 8500

Now i understand what people are saying about the president

Did Buhari mentioned anything on Taxes and VAT reduction or cancelation ? If not the whole broadcast is utterly useless and not necessary.

FG Restriction of Movement in Abuja, Lagos & Ogun is Desirable but Illegal and Unconstitutional. Sec 305 of the 1999 Cons. provides that State of Emergency cannot be proclaimed without recourse to and approval of the National Assembly. Executive fiat cannot take the place of law.

Which buhari!?

MBuhari fasting don start

MBuhari What does restricting 'all movement' mean? Government cannot block access to food and other essentials for 14days! People need to eat, pple need access to medical care. Restriction of 'all movement' is a death sentence. There are other medical emergencies worst than COVID-19.

MBuhari Same SR carrying fake news about the President infection and surreptitious admission in a UK hospital. Chei!!!!! Sowore Reporter is a confirmed and certified liar. They even do it with bold face and penchant. Always reporting in the theatre of absurdities,

Nigeria of today don't have plan for the youths

What's funny here is that he is telling those states to do what they are already doing.... He is late and slow. A wing deed is a wrong deed.... He should have started by apologizing

Can’t believe they are talking about Lagos and Abuja Ogun right now ..... What appen to other states cases Nigeria 😒😒😒

mr_robmichael MBuhari How can there be lockdown in almost all the states in the country no compensation no stimulus package. How do you expect traders especially market women, Transport workers, passed out NYSC members within the last 2years of which 80% are unemployed and many more to feed?
