The police spokesman in the state, Henry Okoye, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

According to him, the incident happened along Old Gariki Road in Okigwe in Okigwe Local Government Area of the state. “In the process, two officers paid the ultimate price while four others survived the attack,” he said. He added that the police commissioner vowed that he would not condone attacks on security personnel in the state.
