Universal Insurance Plc has said it has launched its ‘Shop Insurance Retail’ insurance product in conjunction with T.A. Braithwaite Insurance Brokers.
It said in a statement on Sunday that the relationship was aimed at opening more avenues for the sale of its fire and special perils products. The company said developing the product became necessary, as most shop owners did not embrace insurance and needed to protect their goods and properties against fire and special perils.
In his speech at the launch, the Managing Director, Universal Insurance, Mr Benedict Ujoatuonu, promised prompt payment in line with the company’s tradition.
