The management of the University of Port Harcourt has denied advertising any recruitment for academic staff.

The university’s Public Relations Officer, Sam Kpenu, in a statement described the advertorial circulating on social media as the handwork of fraudulent individuals While urging the public to disregard the publication, Kpenu said security operatives have been notified of the development. The statement read,” The attention of the management of the University of Port Harcourt has been drawn to a publication making the rounds on the social media to the effect that the university is recruiting academic staff.

“The university wishes to state in clear terms that at no point did management authorise such advertorial.
