Umahi noted that the implementation of the said subjects will take effect from 28th January, 2020 as the academic activities resumes, but added that it is compulsory for students studying Entrepreneurship/ Business Development and Information and Communication Technology .
He noted that the reasons for introducing Chinese languages as compulsory subjects is to boost business partnership between Ebonyi state and the Chinese government. “Available research has it that language is a veritable tool that enhances intercontinental communication and trades. Recall that the governor had earlier declared that the Indian and Chinese partnerships would be occupying sixty percent of the ongoing shopping mall in the state upon its completion.
