To address the poor performances of students in mathematics examinations, a lecturer at the Department of Early Childhood Education, University of Ibadan, Dr Ishola Salami, has invented hip-hop song t

o solve some mathematical problems.

He said, “Someone who can solve simple mathematics problems can quickly reflect and solve societal problems.” Elaborating on the invention, he stated that the hip-hop song being invented, tagged MATMusic, comprises song tracks with mathematics ideas, principles and procedures.

I think this method to stimulate students in the Mathematical problem is welcome. In fact, majority of students are used to listening to music via earpiece, airpods of mobile phones during boring mathematics classes.
