ENUGU – LEADERSHIP of one of the opposition political parties in Enugu State, United Democratic Party, UDP, in the just concluded governorship and state House of Assembly election have congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Governor-elect, for his victory.The party disassociated itself from the stands of its governoship aspirant Pastor Donatus Ozoemena who had at a press conference alleged that the election was full of irregularities and that he would challenge the election in court.
“We are here today to first of all congratulate the incumbent governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on his reelection as the governor of Enugu state for four years. We celebrate you and also felicitate with you as you clock 55 years. “We assure you that the United Democratic Party, Enugu State chapter is solidly behind your reelection and governance. We shall demonstrate this by paying a congratulatory and celebratory visit with the state party structure which includes the states party executives and entire 17 local government area chairman.
Ngene who commended Ugwuanyi for carrying everybody along irrespective of political party, stated that Ugwuanyi is “a man of peace who have before now placed Enugu State in the hand of God”.
