Trevor Sinclair has said that he fears for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea as they face Real Madrid in the return fixture of their Champions League semifinal at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.Eden Hazard looks set to start at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday after coming off the bench late on in the reverse fixture but failed to make much of an impact.
The Belgium international left Stamford Bridge in 2019 on a £140million move to the Santiago Bernabeu.Former Man City and England winger Sinclair thinks Hazard could prove to be a big problem for Chelsea. “I can’t help but think Eden Hazard is going to play some part in the way this tie is going to end up,” Sinclair told talkSPORT.“I fear for Chelsea because of that. When he switches it on, there’s not many better players we’ve witnessed in the Premier League.
“He’ll be comfortable going back to Stamford Bridge. When you go back to an old club, I don’t know what the odds are but they must be huge to have an effect and score. “I don’t know if he’s got the fitness levels or the desire. He’s a very wealthy man now and to be able to continue putting in amazing performances and amazing seasons is a different challenge when you’ve already got the riches and rewards.”
