Uche Nwokedi, publisher of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Cases, has died. Nwokedi died on Friday in London. The deceased was a SAN and a commercia

The deceased was a senior advocate of Nigeria and a commercial lawyer with expertise in commercial litigation and international commercial arbitration.

He was the editor-in-chief of Nigerian Oil and Gas Cases, a comprehensive compilation of the country’s oil and gas case laws.Nwokedi was also the author of ‘Shred of Fear,’ a memoir that encapsulates his childhood experiences during the Biafran War. He also produced ‘Kakadu the Musical,’ which garnered critical acclaim on its tours in Nigeria, Switzerland, and South Africa.

Nwokedi was creatively involved in the production of E.V.E: Audi Alteram Partem, a legal television drama series on M-Net Africa Magic.Also, he was involved in sports development and was president of the Karate Federation of Nigeria from 2001 to 2005.Nwokedi was an alumnus of St. Gregory’s College, Mayfield College, and the University of Lagos, where he successfully obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law.

His professional career started at Ashland Oil Company from October 1984 to October 1985 before joining Rotimi Williams’ Chambers as an associate counsel from January 1986 to October 1991.Later that year, Nwokedi founded Uche Nwokedi & Co. Legal Practitioners, where he served as the principal counsel until his recent passing.
