The Junior Shipolopolo of Zambia is looking forward to their double header friendly against the Flying Eagles of Nigeria.
The two teams are among the 12 countries that will take part in the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations next month in Egypt.The second friendly will take place three days later.“We are really in need of these friendly games and for some of the boys, it will be their first time to play against West African teams,” assistant coach Albert Mphande told reporters.“I think in terms of readiness, physically we are about 75 per cent, mentally we are almost there and we are about 65 per cent,” Mphande said.
The Zambian contingent for the friendlies are expected to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday, February 1.
