A High Court in Lokoja on Wednesday fixed November 27 to hear a suit filed by Abubakar Idris, a PDP governorship aspirant challenging the emergence of Musa Wada as the party’s flag bearer in the primaries.
But counsel to Abubakar Idris, Rowland Otaru, objected to the plea for adjournment saying the counsel to the first defendant did not need any extra time to study a case which had reached a defence level. Mr Amupitan said the principle of justice and fair hearing is a tripod that affects not only the claimant but both the defendant and even the court.
After hearing all the parties, Mr Olorunfemi in his ruling said nobody could pressurise or stampede him into doing anything outside the law.
