Two persons on Friday night lost their lives after gunmen stormed the residence of the Labour Party House of Representatives candidate for Lere Federal Constituency, in Kaduna State, Suleiman Tambaya, at Gure Village in Lere Local Council of the state.
It would be recalled that the attack is barely three months after gunmen in November 2022 killed the LP women leader, Victoria Chimtex in her residence in Kaura Local Council of the state. “At about 10 pm , I was told that about seven armed men came to my house in the village , asking about my whereabouts and that they said I ought to be home.
“One of the boys died on the spot, while the other died at the hospital. The case was also reported to the Divisional Police Officer and he promptly mobilise personnel to the scene of the incident.”
