Two men have died in an accident at Mile 12, Ogere Market axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday.The Federal Road Safety Corps told DAILY POST that three vehicles were involved in the accident.

The FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, said, “a total of 06 persons were involved in the crash, all male adults. 01 person was injured and 02 persons were recorded dead from the crash and others were urhurt.”She blamed the crash on route violation and speed, disclosing that the injured victim had been taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention.

“The PTD has been contacted for the transloading of the PMS as well as the Ogun State fire and safety services.“One of the trucks is loaded with wheat and effort is ongoing to offload it before the trapped corpses can be removed.Meanwhile, the Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar has cautioned motorists to desist from route violation, especially trucks-route areas.
