Troops thwart kidnap attempt, neutralise terrorists, nab cattle rustling syndicate

Making the announcement, yesterday, in its X-handle, the troops claimed it intervened to foil a kidnapping in Lankaviri community in KarimLamido Local Council of Taraba State .

Stating that during the operation, a notorious terrorist, identified as GamboKachallah, was nabbed and neutralised in several affected communities in the state. Identifying the arrested syndicate members as Peter Sale, Enoch Luka, and HosaanaPhilibus, the troops stated it recovered illicit arms, which include a fabricated rifle and pistol, along with ammunition and other items.

Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have commenced the investigation of 11 suspected oil thieves and one vessel, MT SAISNIL II, handed over to the commission by the Nigerian Navy, NNS Beecroft, Apapa, Lagos.
