An unidentified tricycle operator was yesterday killed, while two people were injured in an accident involving a MACK truck belonging to A NITE and a tricycle TVS king at IBB way, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

Akwa Ibom State sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps , Mr. Matthew Olonisaye, who confirmed the incident, gave the registration number of the MACK truck as KPR321XA and tricycle TVS KING as JW740KET.

He identified brake failure as the reason for the accident and called on vehicle owners to take maintenance of their vehicles seriously. Olonisaye said the Sector command would continue to be hard on owners of vehicles that are not road worthy.In this article
