“The media is not only to commend or condemn what is good or bad, but it is also its responsibility to recognise excellent services and dedication of the individual to nationhood, which brought about the people we recognising today.”

Chairman, African Newspapers of Nigeria publishers of the Nigerian Tribune titles, Ambassador Olatokunbo Awolowo-Dosumu has promised that the paper will continue to serve the interest of the country and the world by dedicating itself to truth and excellence.

According to her, “truth and commitment are our watchwords. The media is not only to commend or condemn what is good or bad, but it is also its responsibility to recognise excellent services and dedication of the individual to nationhood, which brought about the people we recognising today.”Former governors, Senators Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Godswill Akpabio ; Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola ; Senator Abiola Ajimobi were also recognised.

Awolowo-Dosumu also gave an insight into the future of Tribune titles, stating that the “organisation is into the digital space”, just as she assured that medium would remain in circulation in the next 70 years.
