The trial of 15 persons arrested by the Nigeria Police Force over their involvement in the invasion of the residence of Supreme Court Justice, Mary Peter-Odili, finally commences in a Federal High Court, Abuja, with the prosecution calling its first witness, a serving police officer.

Those earlier granted bail included Adjodo Lawrence , Michael Diete-spiff, Alex Onyekuru, Bayero Lawal , Igwe Ernest, Aliyu Ibrahim, Maimuna Maishanu, Ayodele Akindipe and Yusuf Adaiu , Bashir Musa, Stanley Nkwazema and Shehu Jibo. The Judge said one of the sureties of each of the defendants must be a responsible citizen and an owner of a landed property in Abuja, while the second surety must be gainfully employed in Abuja with evidence of tax payment as at when due for the past three years.

Testifying, the witness narrated how the defendants had on October 29, last year attempted to gain entry into the residence of Justice Mary Peter-Odili.
