The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reassured citizens that his administration would continue to promote and strengthen the state’s cultural heritage.

“These are events that attracts tourist from all over the world into our great state.

“The decision to host this year’s edition was borne out of the desire to further support and showcase our arts, our crafts, our entertainment, our nightlife our people, our disposition, and the aquatic splendor of our dear state.” The state Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, urged participants to not forget the inherent message of the festival.

“As we celebrate, and have fun, I plead with us all not to forget the inherent message in this festival of culture and arts. This annual event had over the years proven to be a unifying platform for all tribes in Nigeria and this year’s edition should not be an exception,” she said.All rights reserved.
