Chairman of the Elders’ Forum of All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, speaks with MUDIAGA AFFE on the last elections and the proposed leadership by the party for the 9th...

Chairman of the Elders’ Forum of All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, speaks withWouldIt is a victory for the APC because we have a renewal of our mandate. The President has been re-elected and the APC as a party has more members in the National Assembly. About 2/3 of the Senate and House of Representatives is controlled by the APC. It is repose of implicit confidence in the party and its leadership.

But going by the number of states now controlled by the APC, it appears the PDP gained more states. Is this not an indication that the confidence of the people in your party is waning? Well, I want to say that we do not have to bring in the APC when we talk about the security of the country. We have security agencies and it was obvious that some people were going to plunge the country into chaos in their ambition to rule at the local or state or national level. Do not forget that the security forces have the responsibility to ensure that there is peace.
