Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication in the Lake Chad region, said three other persons sustained injuries during the attack on Sunday.
Quoting an in intelligence source, Makama said some other bandits on motorcycles came from Yan Kuzo road and launched an attack through Funtua-Tsafe highway.“Atleast 3 civilians killed while three injured after they were hit by stray bullets during a gunbattle between troops of Operation Hadarin Daji and bandits who attacked Tsafe town on Sunday, April 21, 2024,” Makama said.
Makama added that the assailants killed two traders in the Tsafe market, while a woman was hit by a stray bullet.The publication said those who sustained injuries were taken to a healthcare facility in Gusau, the Zamfara capital.
