The Delta State Police Command has discovered three decomposing bodies along the Illah-Ugbolu Road in the Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson for the police in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, said on Tuesday that personnel of the command found the bodies along the road.

“We don’t know what caused their death, but it is obvious that they were not killed there. Their corpses were brought and dumped there. Onovwakpoyeya said the mutilated bodies could not be immediately identified by the Divisional Police Officer of the Illah Police Division and some elders of the Ugbolu community, who visited the scene.

The Director-General, Young Nigerian Rights Organisation, Victor Ojei, said, “We can now see reason with the Executive Chairman of the Local Government when he gave an order to everyone illegally occupying bushes in any part of the local government to leave with immediate effect or face the full wrath of the law.
