It was learnt that the victim was returning from school when one of the boys simply identified as Brorien, a known face in the neighbourhood called her but as she went to meet him, two other boys namely Dickson and Takebwebu, allegedly dragged her into the house, ganged raped and defiled her. It was also learnt that the victim was rushed to the Otu Jeremi General Hospital upon which Medical reports to prove she was defiled and raped were issued.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent said, 'They said the matter was reported but the suspects are at large.' Human rights activist, Kelvin Ejumudo who condemned the act of rape and defilement by the three boys said, 'They can run but cannot hide'. He urged the President-General of Otor-Udu Community to desist from the settlement of cases of rape and ensure that the suspects are handed over to the Police for prosecution.
