The senatorial candidate of the People Democratic Party for Borno Central District, Jibrin Tanabe, has described as ‘forgery’ a letter bearing his signature indicating he has resigned from the senatorial race.
Mr Tatabe won the PDP Borno Central Senatorial District primary election in May with 244 votes defeating his rival, Bukar Kachallah, who scored 44 votes. published Mr Tatabe’s name alongside those of other winners of political parties’ primary elections.
Some Borno State Abuja-based party leaders who are contributing nothing towards the development of the Party in State clandestinely tried several avenues to replace me with Hon. Mohammed Umara Kumalia failed to contest in the primary election knowing fully well that he will be defeated but I refused.
His ward executive and local government executives are not aware of his request for a waiver which they are supposed to recommend and escalate further. The entire ward and local government executives of five local governments under Borno Central Senatorial district held a press conference in Maiduguri and distance themselves from the atrocities committed by the national leadership of the party.
To the best of my knowledge, I have NOT written any withdrawal letter and personally delivered the same to anybody. The purported withdrawal letter was addressed to the State Party Chairman. As the Almighty God is always on the side of truth I eventually got to know of their atrocities and swiftly instructed my Solicitor who wrote to the National Chairman to immediately discountenance the purported letter of withdrawal.
Probably they are above the law. This is what our country has become, normal individuals in suits and ties who seemingly are above the law and the people of this country. The National Chairman and Deputy National Chairman, North are accomplices in this act. The bickering on their antecedent both as claimed by others are justified.
Hmmm... PDP and bad things na 5&6.
