Team Nigeria won their second gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics on Sunday as Bose Omolayo claimed victory in the women’s 73kg para-powerlifting.

Team Nigeria Captain Ejike won the bronze medal in the women’s 61kg category with a lift of 130kg.

Olaitan also lifted 119kg — failing in her bid to lift 127kg — to win the bronze medal. China’s Yujiao Tan lifted 133kg to win the gold medal, while Egypt’s Fatma Omar lifted 120kg to win the silver medal.Nigeria’s men’s para-table tennis team will play Argentina in the Round of 16 of Classes 4-5 by 1:00am on Tuesday, while they will play the US in Classes 9-10 of the men’s singles by 2:30am same day.All rights reserved.
