A 42-year-old teacher, Eronse Balat, was on Tuesday, remanded by an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court in Osun State over alleged rape of his student.
Insp. Abdullahi Emmanuel, The Prosecutor, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 11, at about 7 am at Eleyele area, Ile-Ife.According to him, the defendant unlawfully and indecently assaulted his student.The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of rape and assault.
