Tambuwal rejects zoning, South-West PDP insists on southern presidency

Others were the PDP Deputy National Chairman , Ambassador Oladejo Arapaja; former governorship candidates of the PDP in Ogun and Ekiti states, Ladi Adebutu and Prof Olusola Kolapo; and other former and serving PDP leaders at the national level.Meanwhile, the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, on Tuesday in Abuja kicked against the idea of zoning of the Presidency and cautioned the PDP to focus on winning elections.

After its 95th National Executive Council meeting last Wednesday, the PDP had constituted a 37-member committee to make recommendations for the zoning of various elective positions ahead of the general elections. “So, we must accept these realities as a party and work with these realities to win the election. After that, we can now say okay, let’s share power. Win the election first. Don’t win zoning! Win the election and then we’ll come and share power.”

“I deliberately took the APC ticket to Katsina to give it to President Muhammadu Buhari. Yes, Atiku contested; Rabiu Musa contested and Sam Nda-Isaiah and Rochas Okorocha contested. But we knew where we were going, because we were determined to win.

True & honest governance, founded on integrity & conscience had long since rejected Tambuwal. What is he crying about?🤷🏾‍♂️

Tambuwal is the most disloyal leader from the North,in the PDP. His antecedents are there for everyone to see.

For fairness the south should be giving a chance in leadership. North already did eight years of a mess

He doesn't have the moral right to say that, he once betrayed PDP and will always do, he and His cohorts scaled the national assembly fence to fight the policies of a sincere Man. He can't be trusted

No to Northern candidacy,South East are part of Nigeria not a spectators.

Zoning of the presidency to the south is now or never. The north can't lead Nig back to back. This will be tantamount to enslaving the SS & the SE. The south esp the SE & SS have competent hands to lead this nation. The south now needs the northern support to unite this nation.
