When these constituents of the environment are polluted or contaminated, then one might be easily exposed to some health risks. The sustainability of human life is dependent on the environment and it is also capable of infecting man with diseases if not well cared for.
Humanity has forgotten that the environment can exist without man, but no man without the environment. We are then at the mercy of the environment when we are attacked by diseases that are environmentally-induced.
